Eastbourne

Battlefield Live Eastbourne is based in 85 acres of woodland in East Sussex. Our site is about 15 miles north of Eastbourne or 3 ½ miles north of Hailsham, and about 20 miles south of Tunbridge Wells. Brighton and Hastings are about 40 minutes driving time.

The routes from London that can be taken are M25, M23, A27 or M25, A21, A267 (approximately 1 ½ hrs driving time).

The day at Shootout is from 9am-5pm (or earlier if light fails). On arrival at the main building, which seats up to 60 people (our maximum number in any one day), overalls are issued and players sign our disclaimer form, at this time we will also confirm food (vegetarians etc.)

You will be given a full briefing on safety, the games and the gun - we also discuss tactics and the role of the Marshal. The Marshals' priority is SAFETY at all times for all participants.

Battlefield Live games are great fun and a wonderful stress-buster.

Games

We have 16 separate playing areas, 10 of which are in continuous woodland where we play a variety of games based around one or two flags.

Some of the games have a focal point in a clearing in the woodland such as "The Swamp", "The Village" and "The Fort".

Others are based in open areas such as "The Mounds", "Run the Gauntlet" and our own version of "Speedball" where for 5 minutes the shots fly thick and fast!

Equipment

There is no need to worry about any equipment, as full face mask and goggles will all be provided on your arrival.

Here at Shootout strong emphasis is placed on safety at all times and we ensure that all games are played fairly with Marshals on hand throughout the day.
